Connect Pinterest to Immosearch

Immosearch saves your properties as Pins with photo and link to your board. For that you need a business account and at least one public board.

What you need

  • A business account (free; you can convert a personal account in 2 minutes – step 2).
  • At least one public board – a Pin always needs a board (step 3). Immosearch can’t find secret boards.

No longer needed: a “linked business account” – Pinterest doesn’t offer that any more.

Convert to a business account

  1. Computer: bottom left More options › Settings › Account management › next to Convert to a business account click Convert account (twice) › describe your profile, question about ads › Next.
  2. App: profile picture › profile picture top left › Account management › Convert to a business account › Convert account.

Pins and followers stay; make a private account public first. A new business account only on a computer: Sign up › Create a business account.

Create a board

  1. Plus icon › Board › name, for example “Apartments in Vienna” › Create.
  2. Do not tick the option Keep this board secret.

Connect to Immosearch

  1. In your Immosearch account open Settings › Connections. Next to Pinterest click Connect Pinterest, sign in to Pinterest and confirm the permissions.
  2. Back at Immosearch the Manage Pinterest window opens: tick the boards you want and click “Save” – only then are they active for posts.

If something doesn’t work

“Pinterest connected, but no boards were found”

Create a public board (step 3), disconnect and click “Connect Pinterest” again.

Personal account

Pinterest rejects access from personal accounts for new apps. Convert your account (step 2).

Images

BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WEBP up to 20 MB; Pinterest recommends portrait 2:3 – Immosearch takes care of that for you.

“Renew connection”

Pinterest normally renews the connection by itself. If Connections shows “Renew connection”, click it. If the button is missing: click “Disconnect”, then connect again and tick the page in the window once more – until then, posts that are due are skipped.

Revoke access

In Immosearch click “Disconnect” under Connections. Additionally on Pinterest: More options › Settings › Security, and remove Immosearch under connected apps.

Immosearch also shows a connected and switched-on account on your public provider profile – after disconnecting it disappears there again.
