What you need

  • A personal Facebook account to sign in – nothing is published on your profile.
  • A Facebook Page for you or your office. Don’t have one yet? Step 2.
  • Facebook access with full control of that Page – check it in step 3.

Not needed: business portfolio, Meta Business Suite, ad account, credit card. Profiles, professional mode and groups don’t work – Facebook only lets apps publish to Pages.

Create a Facebook Page

Already have a Page? Skip to step 3.

  1. Sign in on a computer and click Pages on the left › Create new Page.
  2. Public Page › Next › Get started.
  3. Name (the way your office is called) and category, for example “Real Estate Agent”, optionally a bio › Create Page.
  4. Details, profile and cover photo (use your logo), WhatsApp and invitations Skip › Done.

Check your control of the Page

  1. Profile picture › See all profiles › your Page.
  2. The Page’s profile picture › Settings & privacy › Settings.
  3. Page setup › Page access: if your name is listed with “full control”, you’re set. Otherwise ask the person who manages the Page to give you that access.

Connect to Immosearch

  1. In your Immosearch account open Settings › Connections. Next to Facebook click Continue with Facebook.
  2. Facebook asks whether to continue as yourself › Continue as “Your name”.
  3. The most important step: Facebook lists your Pages – tick the Page Immosearch should publish to. Leave all permissions switched on; if you remove one, Immosearch gets none.
  4. Back at Immosearch the Manage Facebook window opens: tick the Page and click “Save” – only then is it active for posts.

If something doesn’t work

“0 Pages found”

Usually the Page wasn’t ticked in the Facebook window, you only have a profile, or you lack full control. Check step 3, click “Disconnect” under Connections, connect Facebook again and change your previous choice in the Facebook window: tick the Page.

“Action required” – Facebook asks you to confirm your identity

Open the Facebook app on your phone with the profile that manages your Page, switch to the Page and create a short test post. Facebook then asks for the confirmation, for example a code by SMS. After that everything continues on its own – we retry once a day. If it still fails the next day, connect Facebook again here.

“Renew connection” – the connection has expired

This happens after a password change, when your access to the Page was removed or when Facebook lets the permission expire. If Connections shows “Renew connection”, click it. If the button is missing: click “Disconnect”, then connect again and tick the page in the window once more – until then, posts that are due are skipped.

I want to post in groups or on my profile

Facebook doesn’t allow that for apps like Immosearch. Share your Page’s posts into suitable groups yourself – two clicks directly in Facebook.

Revoke access

In Immosearch click “Disconnect” under Connections. Additionally on Facebook: profile picture › Settings & privacy › Settings › under “Your activity” Business integrations › Remove next to Immosearch.

Immosearch also shows a connected and switched-on account on your public provider profile – after disconnecting it disappears there again.
