After a door replacement, residents notice that the door behaves differently. Some consider this a malfunction, others a desired new function. The administration should forward the observations to the responsible specialist department, without working on safety-relevant devices itself.
Report the procedure instead of a diagnosis
What happens during normal authorised use? At which door and at what time does the observation occur? Describe the actual behaviour. Terms such as defect, fire protection fault or lack of safety will not be used as confirmed findings without an appropriate expert assessment.
In the case of suspected imminent danger, use the appropriate immediate contact route. Completing an administrative note must not delay necessary assistance.
Do not confuse the old and the new state
Assign the report to the version actually installed. Previous operating habits do not have to fit the new configuration. Which use and function are intended will be explained by the responsible specialist department with reference to the appropriate documents.
The administration does not give its own adjustment, blocking or repair tips. Provisional holding open or altering of components is not authorised by this article.
Hypothetical case: residents report different situations
One person describes opening from the outside, another closing from the inside. In the house discussion this appears contradictory. The administration classifies both incidents separately and asks for expert explanation or investigation.
The instruction is not generally “set everything back to how it was before”. First it should be clarified which function is intended and whether the observation deviates from it.
Pass on confirmed information appropriately
After the expert response, necessary user information is clearly assigned to the correct door. Open investigative questions remain apparent. A visible on-site appointment alone is not communicated as a complete functional or safety release.
