“Strom und Wasser stellt die Bauherrschaft” can be a short line in an offer with considerable organisational consequences. It does not yet reveal what is needed, who will prepare the connection or who will actually have access on the first working day. Clarify the supplies as a small project of their own before you order several companies operating on different assumptions.
Start with the users, not the extension cable
Request the demand specifications from the contracted companies: period, intended use, place of use and the professionally required connection data. You do not have to assess these details technically yourself. They serve so that the responsible specialist companies and suppliers can plan an appropriate solution.
Compile the answers in a joint overview. Three companies that each specify “normal construction power” have not thereby described a common need. Ask whether they are intended to work simultaneously and who will take responsibility for the necessary coordination. Likewise, construction water should not simply appear as an arbitrary hose connection if different uses are planned.
Clearly assign four responsibilities
Distingish ordering, installation, operation and costs. The person who submits an application is not automatically the person who supervises the installation on site. Agree with the technically responsible participants who will clarify connection options, which advance services are expected and who will confirm operational readiness.
Your overview should also include meters or measuring points, access and a contact for faults. Technical execution, testing, protection and safe use belong in expert hands. This article deliberately does not contain instructions for self-connection and no general technical limit values for two countries.
For billing, an initial reading with a date is helpful. Agree in advance how ongoing charges, consumption and possible additional installations will be handled. If several companies use the same supply, a cost rule should not be improvised only after the final invoice. You must establish the concrete contractual allocation with the participants; no statutory standard distribution is claimed here.
If the connection arrives later than the shell builder
In a hypothetical house build, the family orders the shell builder for Monday. The technical preparation is still unresolved because everyone had assumed an existing garden supply. The shell builder had assumed a different supply. The family does not resolve this with an improvised temporary solution, but has the specialist companies compare needs and available supply and postpones dependent work to a reliable date.
The example shows the value of an early checkpoint: “ordered” is a different status from “installed” and again different from “released for the intended use”. Use these separate states in your schedule.
The last user does not automatically determine the end
Also plan the conversion to the permanent house supply. Which trades still require the site supply? When will a documented handover take place, when the deregistration or the proper dismantling? Record final readings and the return of rented parts insofar as they are part of your agreement.
Your deliverable is a supply overview with demand, responsibilities, confirmed dates and cost rules. Local network and water suppliers, plot circumstances and contractual model can require different procedures. The overview helps organising, but does not replace their connection conditions or a technical assessment.
